The NSL Profile features an aluminium channel designed to accommodate a choice of insert materials for both tread and riser, allowing for a strong, contrasting solid band of color. Designed to meet the guidance in Approved Document M and BS8300:2009+A1:2010, it is particularly suitable for areas without surface floor coverings or resilient flooring.

When selecting insert colors, consideration should be given to the Light Reflective Value (LRV) of both the surrounding floor covering and the stair nosing itself, with a recommended difference of at least 30 between these values. The profile is supplied in Mill finish as standard, with options available for anodised and powder coated finishes.

It includes an external grade Tredsafe Insert made from a blend of P.V.C., silica quartz, and polymeric plasticiser, providing a durable, homogeneous, anti-slip surface effective in wet and dry conditions. The three-dimensional pyramid pattern enhances slip resistance.
